CENTRAL FLORIDA RAGNAR RELAY
NOVEMBER 19 & 20
Team Helping Hannah Runs because Hannah can’t.
In April 2010, many of the team members were part of a fundraising event for a little girl by the name of Hannah Bernard. Her father, Derek, is the founder of the legendary local band Derek and The Slammers. The family’s life turned upside down when 14-year-old Hannah was diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, which attacks the nervous system causing chronic and debilitating pain.
And, now the affliction has attacked Hannah’s eyesight.
There is no cure and the treatments to control the pain are so expensive that money is always an issue.
Team Helping Hannah is running the Central Florida Ragnar Relay – a race across the state of Florida from Port Richey to Daytona Beach – for Hannah, and are raising money for every mile the team completes – 200 miles total.
100% of all fundraising dollars go directly into an account for the Bernard family to pay Hannah’s medical bills.
Checks are payable to Helping Hannah and are not tax-deductible. Please mail your donation to Helping Hannah, 1611 Wycliff Drive, Orlando, FL 32803.
